To celebrate his life and music, I'm refitting the storefront of C.A.M.P. into a Brownswood Record Shop on 16 April. Come down to dig through crates, dance to the djs and just hang out in the wonderful vibrations of Mr. Reid's legacy. All sale proceeds will go to the Steve Reid Foundation, which has been lovingly set up by Gilles P.

You can get overwhelmed these days by the amount of brilliant talent coming out. Honestly, I come across about 5-6 new bands a week that instantly get adored. I'd like to share something I'm appreciating today. The crew over at Suite903 have just posted this gorgeous video of a new Canadian artist, Saidah Baba Talibah, couldn't believe what I was listening to. This girl's voice is simply unreal. I'm no longer going to post long winded description about music that goes up on here. If I love it, I just hope you'll like it.

Listen to him share some incredible raw advice, that I believe will get some kids rethinking their strategy or actually coming up with one to begin with. "Don't be a new artist for two, three years...Its not going to happen."

The thing I admire the most about Theophilus is his tenacity and willingness to stay open to new ideas and new solutions. You'll rarely hear him complain all that much about "the industry." Like a true grafter, he just gets on with it.

Let this interview inspire you to stay focus, work hard and be open. This is the most exciting time to be in music. Stop whining from the sidelines and really get in the game.

It was a indulgent dream for us, but we knew that if it were to return it needed to mature in the way it sounds, looks and feels. Today coming across a band like Quadron, has me now believing the return could be much closer than we realize.

I think she is FANTASTIC! Elan Tamara cements the reason why I choose to champion great British music to everyone I know. Elan composes high spirited songs that invites you to escape to the playful realms of your heart - where its perfectly cool to chill in a room on your own and just daze away with nothing in mind but just a sweet stillness. Such a rejuvenating space to be in. Her vocals are distinctively British but her composition identifies with the everyday global nomad in us. Its music made for an intelligent 20 something generation that can easily appease its older contemporaries.

Im excited about Elan and I want you to be too. Her debut Gold Fishes EP can be found at Rough Trade.

Daisy Lowe, Miquita Oliver, Lovefoxx (CSS) and Alice Delial have huddled together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the vintage classic Olympus PEN and usher in the next generation - Olympus E-P1. These uber cool girls will document their busy days through the lenses of this spanking new camera. They will each get a chosen theme and over the course of the next few weeks will upload it onto this site, where contestants can flick through and upload their own photographs which will be judge by the lovely ladies. Here is my take on the whole debate of streaming music.

You stream to see if you will fall in love with what you hear. If you fall in love, you will probably pledge a commitment. This commitment will lead you to buy the cd, tell your friends about it, befriend the band on myspace, go to their gigs, and possibly introduce the music to your parents. I don't know about you, but I would rather have a committed fan than another fair weather one because at least the dedicated fan will keep the music playing.

I'm overly excited about the work I am doing at the moment with Havana Club. They've recently launched an inspiring web portal called Havana Cultura which sole mission is to share and promote all the cool modern art that is coming out of Havana from music to dance to film and more. With this being the 30th anniversary year of the Cuban Revolution and all the recent positive shift of world policy, the time is NOW to shine a big bright light on the vibrant culture of this tiny yet mighty beautiful island. No politics here - for Havana Cultura is just about connecting the world to Cuban arts, which in turn is about making a deeper connection to the human experience. How much do I love that.

The whole mission behind this series was to branch out a bit and encourage a new generation of artists who are mixing and matching styles yet clearly defining a sound all their own. I rate tonight as one of my strongest line ups from start to finish- Joker (pictured above), Bullion, The Blessings, De Tropix LIVE, Alexander Nut and Katie Skills. Its a heavy UK one! BRAP!

Thanks to everyone who has celebrated Summer Bubblers both online and in the club. We will indeed be back next summer with more future soundtracks and hopefully a special take home prize too.

I'm looking forward to having the next few months off from club promotions and begin gearing up for two exciting brand new series I have in the pipeline for late Fall. I can't wait to start connecting those stories onto you.

Rox was the name that sprung to mind once we decided at Brownswood to create a summer boutique series to continue our plight to championing the next big things. She is by far one of the favorite UK singer/songwriters to come out properly this year. Recently signed to bossy indie label, Rough Trade Records, we expect to see a more mighty Rox explosion in the upcoming months. My friends say they hear a little Lauryn in her. Thats what I think too!

Just finishing up the last couple days of promotions leading up to the Mulatu Astatke & The Heliocentrics Show at KOKO this Wednesday. I always have a bit of adrenaline on reserve to help with the final promo push right before a show. This concert is really shaping up nicely and I personally can't wait to hear their new album Inspiration Information 3 performed live. I just got back from seeing The Invisibles play live at Cargo. Their synergy onstage left me in awe - they didn't even have a printed set list! Best way to describe the music - a great balance between electro and indie without sounding too contrive. Once they played my tune "London Girl", I had a "free-for-all" boogie in celebration that the best new music is being MADE IN THE UK.

It's challenging growing up and figuring out that you want to do a lot of wonderful and special things in this lifetime. I stop thinking that it stems from a lack of focus, but more about making many good ideas take on different powerful shapes. However difficult it can be, the exciting part is embracing those UNLTD skills and figuring out what will connect it all together to lead it right back to you!

I look to other UNLTD visionaries like Dr. Jose Antonio Abreu for boundless direction. Dr. Abreu is the 2009 TED Prize winner for his life/world changing El Sistema - a youth music education program in Venezuela. Here stands a man who dares to think and act big with using art as a greater service to society. I was so pleased to find out yesterday that his TED wish had been granted with the launch of El Sistema USA. Its a fantastic program that I know someday the world will all appreciate. Hand to Heart.
